TRAVEL

CARPOOL

Please be safe and respectful during drop-off and pick-up. You can enter the carpool flow via the driveway just north of Big Fish Automation on Pony Express Road. We ask that cell phones be put away during carpool time. Thank you so much for your attention. Safety is our main concern with all of our students.

DIRECTIONS

The APA Early Learning Center can be challenging to find the first time you go. Here are directions to help you out:
Exit I-15 at 12300 S. and head west. At the very first light, turn left. This road will loop around and pass some horse property. Continue on this road to the 1st stop sign. At the stop sign, make a left turn. Turn right onto Pony Express Road. The carpool entrance to the school will be on your right. The ELC is located in the building just East of Draper 1, on the East side of the building.

DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP

Please do not park to pick up your student. Everyone is required to go through the carpool line. Parking and coming in to avoid the carpool line is not allowed. Staff will be out assisting at carpool, so there will not be anyone in the office to assist you during that time.
A.M. Drop-Off Time is from 8:00-8:25. School starts promptly at 8:30, and our staff will be in, starting class, at 8:25 A.M.
A.M. Pick-Up Time is from 11:30-11:45. We only have 15 minutes to get our A.M. students out before P.M. starts arriving. Do not arrive before 11:15 to pick up A.M.students.
P.M. Drop-Off Time is from 11:45-12:00. School starts promptly at 12:00 P.M. If you arrive late, please park, walk your student into the building, and sign them in.
P.M.Pick-Up Time is from 3:00-3:15 A.M. We have the Draper 1 campus next to us, and when we line up too early, it jams up their carpool. So, please do not arrive before 2:45 P.M.

SAFETY & SECURITY

Group-115-svg

Doing what’s best for kids includes providing facilities, systems and training that ensure a safe and secure learning environment for everyone.  To ensure that kind of environment and piece of mind, American Prep has developed and is continually evaluating robust and comprehensive safety and security programs.  From building design to advanced multi-layer security systems; from a combination of in-house and professional custodial services to highly trained and experienced maintenance personnel; and from playground safety to school-wide advanced lockdown training and techniques, American Prep is committed to being a leader in school safety and security.  American Prep meets or exceeds all controlling regulations and requirements for a Utah public school.

EMERGENCY INFORMATION

Group-115-svg

Comprehensive Emergency Response Plans are prepared and practiced on a regular basis. In the event that the school premises must be evacuated, staff will escort students to a safe location. Once students are located to a safe location, staff members will contact guardians and/or other approved adults from the family registration cards.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT

American Prep asks families to provide volunteer service at the school. We consistently log impressive volunteer hours every year, thanks to our INCREDIBLE families and their generous gift of time and talents. This extraordinary service makes it possible for our students to have an outstanding educational experience, which would not be possible without our volunteers’ assistance. THANK YOU, parents!!
